At COYFC, we believe that God desires for all believers to grow in their understanding of and ability to serve others.  Leaders exist to not "do all of the ministry" while others champion them - but exist to champion and equip others to do the ministry (Ephesians 4:11ff).  Beginning in Fall 2016, COYFC will offer ministry training to all staff and volunteers across all ministries and roles, in an effort to increase the quality of ministry as we grow and learn together.

Fall 2016: Knowing and Using the Bible to Serve Others (8 weeks) -

This class will help us to get a grounding in the uniqueness of the Bible as God's Word.  We weigh different approaches to interpreting Scripture, as well as tips for reading each type of book.  Homework will be assigned weekly, to encourage us to build a regular diet of reading and growing from the Bible (Deuteronomy 8:3).  The main emphasis will be on how to make the Bible approachable to teens in YFC ministries.
