Mentoring Overview

Prayerfully develop a one-on-one friendship with a middle or high school student. We hope that God will catalyze this friendship to develop students into lifelong followers of Jesus who lead. Mentors help develop the confidence, character, and academic skills youth need in order to become successful adults, and become agents of change in their community. Expect God to grow you to become more like Christ as you serve by mentoring.

Mentor Requirements:

  • Meet with a middle or high school student 5 times per month for a minimum of a year. At the end of the year you and the youth can recommit - the most helpful mentor relationships last several years.
  • Be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Have college experience or equivalent life experience
  • Actively involved in a local church and have ongoing close fellowship
  • Read and agree to the Mentoring Role Description
